AI Deployment in Systems Engineering

Over the years, an equipment manufacturer has accumulated an massive amount of product specifications. This data is scattered across various formats (PDFs, scans, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets) and cannot be searched and used across systems. Managing, analyzing, and adapting this data takes days, ties up skilled personnel, and is prone to errors.

The challenge: fully automated digitization, cleansing, and conversion of all documents into a predefined, system-supported target format – with minimal human intervention.

Automated Ingestion: We utilize modern layout analysis (OCR) for scanned PDFs and an automated converter for Word and Excel files. All data is stripped of design clutter and translated into structured, AI-readable text (Markdown).

Standard Blueprint: We define a precise digital template (JSON schema). This clearly specifies which mandatory data (e.g., material, dimensions, certificates) the AI must extract from the text.

AI Pipeline: We connect a leading Large Language Model (LLM) via a secure API. The Structured Output function forces the AI to understand the documents and output the data precisely in the desired JSON format.

Validation & Import: A preliminary code check automatically verifies the data for completeness. Random approvals by employees ensure quality before the clean data flows directly into your target system (PIM/ERP).

Radical time and cost savings: Processing time per document drops from several hours (manual) to just a few seconds (automated).

Highest data quality: Elimination of human transmission errors. Data errors are immediately caught by automated schema checks.

Future-proof standardization: For the first time, all product data is available in a uniform format. This forms the basis for instant searchability, automated price calculations, and seamless integration with online marketplaces.

Scalability: New specifications from suppliers or partners can be integrated into your system instantly at the touch of a button – regardless of the format in which they are delivered.

"We help you unlock the full potential of your historically grown data by transforming it into a clean, digital asset that your PIM or ERP system understands immediately – fully automatically and scalably."

Automation in CAD-based Product Development

A manufacturer of construction vehicles offers a wide range of customized cab configurations. While this secures a clear unique selling proposition (USP) in the market, it creates an enormous, error-prone, and purely manual control effort in development and manufacturing.

The challenge: maintaining the company's customized USP while simultaneously ensuring stable prices and healthy margins by eliminating manual process costs.

CAD infrastructure: Creation of standardized CAD starter models as a functional basis.

UI/UX design: Definition and intuitive design of digital user interfaces.

Parameterization: Logical linking and parameterization of product features.

Software Engineering: Agile code development, including rigorous system and component testing.

Database Architecture: Developing a high-performance database for the structured management of all configuration data.

Reduced time-to-market: Drastic reduction in required development and design time.

Zero-defect quality: Fully automated creation of absolutely error-free 3D models and production-ready manufacturing documents.

Lightweight engineering: Integrated, automated calculation and continuous optimization of assembly weight.

"We have proven that a highly individualized product portfolio does not have to come at the expense of your development margins."

Series Production secured - despite loss of critical Know-How

A medium-sized aerospace supplier is on the verge of customer acceptance and release of its new product line for series production after two years of development. This milestone is time-critical and crucial for the company's future capacity utilization.

The Challenge: At this exact critical juncture, the long-standing Project Lead unexpectedly left the company, threatening to derail the entire launch.

Rapid orientation and transparency: Conducting a targeted "deep dive" to quickly grasp complex relationships and uncover hidden risks.

Knowledge management and structuring: Processing implicit knowledge to restore a reliable basis for decision-making.

Process streamlining and stabilization: Eliminating legacy processes, implementing tailored project structures, and rapidly restoring operational capability.

Stakeholder and relationship management: Targeted trust building with internal teams and external clients, as well as confident navigation in international, intercultural contexts.

Project Turnaround: The project was quickly stabilized, reorganized, and successfully completed.

Risk averted: Customer acceptance was completed as planned, and the capacity utilization of series production was secured.

Long-term Impact: Thanks to in-depth industry expertise in the aerospace sector, sustainable standards were established – many of the optimized processes are still used by the customer in subsequent projects.

"If the project management team drops out shortly before final customer approval, a dangerous vacuum is created. In this critical phase, you need a partner who can immediately utilize the existing insider knowledge and get the project back on track within a few days."

Scaling beyond internal Capacity Constraints

Business is booming, and a rapidly growing manufacturer of metal components is reaching its internal production limits. To avoid jeopardizing existing supply contracts, it faces a strategic "make or buy" decision for the first time.

The challenge: a fast, effective outsourcing solution without compromising quality and without the risk of costly mistakes.

Internal coordination and stakeholder alignment: Identification of the optimal component package and definition of an optimal tendering setup, in close coordination with all key resources.

Technical preparation: Review of construction documents, supplementation with best-practice standards, and technological clustering according to manufacturing processes.

Process and approval compliance: Definition of lot sizes, call-off models, process specifications, and industry-specific approvals.

Lean RFQ and end-to-end negotiation: Execution of a multi-stage, lean tendering process including target pricing, pre-selection, price and contract negotiations, and on-site audits.

Ready-to-order handover: Complete documentation and a turnkey deliverable package for direct ordering.

Process acceleration: Significantly reduced lead times and achievement of milestones ahead of schedule.

Budget adherence plus: Absolute adherence to the budget with reduced overall project costs.

Additional ROI: Beyond the pure capacity expansion, we achieved sustainable savings compared to previous in-house production.

"When business grows beyond a company's capacity, outsourcing needs to happen quickly. We take on complete end-to-end responsibility and transform a critical 'make-or-buy' decision into a turnkey procurement process with cost-saving potential."

Increasing Efficiency in Temporary Labour

A leading German corporation uses temporary staffing to flexibly manage peak capacity across various business units and multiple locations. The strategic acquisition of smaller competitors and their integration into existing structures has resulted in a highly fragmented and opaque landscape of service providers, framework agreements, and differing collective bargaining agreements.

The challenge: harmonizing the staffing supply chain based on uniform, company-wide operational standards.

End-to-end responsibility: Full assumption of technical and commercial responsibility – from internal strategic alignment to order-ready handover.

Demand and market analysis: Conducting precise demand analyses and forecasts, and continuously comparing them with current market offerings.

Quality standardization: Establishing uniform criteria for qualification profiles, selection processes, data protection, and monitoring operational performance.

Harmonization of terms and conditions: Defining uniform commercial framework conditions while strictly adhering to local legal requirements and internal company agreements.

Placement rate doubled: 100% increase in final candidate commitments.

Time-to-hire drastically reduced: 65% reduction in recruitment cycles.

Nationwide coverage: Sustainable coverage and filling of all open vacancies across all locations.

Full transparency: Establishment of a digital performance dashboard for continuous, data-driven monitoring of all supplier performance.

"65% faster staffing and twice as many commitments: By transforming temporary staffing into a strategic process, we have turned fragmented and sluggish processes into maximum operational efficiency."
